Taxonomy
Nephrozoa was named by Jondelius et al. (2002) [Deuterostomes + Protostomes The Nemertodermatida are basal bilaterians and not members of the Platyhelminthes. Zool. Scr. 31: 201–215.]. It is extant.

It was assigned to Triploblastica by Peterson et al. (2005); and to Bilateria by Jondelius et al. (2002) and Edgecombe et al. (2011).
