Mesocricetus primitivus
Taxonomy
Mesocricetus primitivus was named by de Bruijn et al. (1970). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IVAU MA-113, m2 inf. dext., a tooth. Its type locality is Maritsa, which is in a MN 13 fissure fill horizon in Greece.
