Taxonomy
Myomimus maritsensis was named by de Bruijn et al. (1970). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IVAU MA-1014, M1-2 sup. dext., a set of teeth. Its type locality is Maritsa, which is in a MN 13 fissure fill horizon in Greece.
