Mirrabella tuberosa

Taxonomy
Mirabella tuberosa was named by de Bruijn et al. (1987). It is not extant. Its type specimen is AMPG AL-493, a tooth (m1 inf. dext.). Its type locality is Aliveri, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial horizon in Greece. It is the type species of Mirabella, Mirrabella.

It was recombined as Mirrabella tuberosa by de Bruijn et al. (2007).

H. de Bruijn et al. 1987Mirabella with semi-hypsodont dentition. Ridges not much lower than the mains cusps in unworn teeth. The strong ectomesolophid of the m1 and m2 is developed as a spur of the hypoconid. The lingual and labial spurs of the anterolophule of the M1 and well developed. In unworn teeth the edges of the ridges show many tubercles.
