Taxonomy
Anomia microstriata was named by Dockery (1982) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Mississippi.]. Its type specimen is USNM 340440, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is MGS Loc. 99a - Cleary [Mint Spring Fm], which is in a Rupelian offshore conglomerate/wackestone in the Mint Spring Formation of Mississippi.
