Dinosorex huerzeleri was named by Engesser (1975). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Museum Olten Rb 101, a mandible (sin. with 1 fragm., m1-m3). Its type locality is Rickenbach, which is in a MP 29 terrestrial horizon in Switzerland.
