Turritella variata lorenzana

Taxonomy
Turritella lorenzana was named by Wagner and Schilling (1923) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Eocene-Early Oligocene; California.]. Its type specimen is UCMP 11424, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Univ. Cal. Loc. 3217 - Pleito Fm, which is in an Oligocene coastal sandstone/sandstone in the Pleito Formation of California.

It was recombined as Turritella variata lorenzana by Merriam (1941).
