Lithology description: The slightly nodular Banné Marls comprise grey dm-thick layers of marlstones, calcarenitic marls and marly limestones with a rich fauna of bivalves associated with some brachiopods...Shelly and calcarenitic horizons, probably reworked and winnowed by storms, are intercalated and commonly separate the beds.
