Lithology description: The Sibnica 1 and 2 fossil localities are at short distance from the original locality. These sites were sampled in 1997–2011. The host rock of the fossil mammals is composed of brownish-grey and yellowish clays. It is intercalated between the grey sandy-clays, coal-bearing clays with pieces of carbonized tree trunks and brownish-grey coal-bearing clays.
Environment:fluvial-lacustrine indet.
Taphonomy
Modes of preservation:body
Size of fossils:macrofossils,mesofossils
Collection methods and comments
Collection methods:bulk, sieve, field collection, survey of museum collection
Reason for describing collection:taxonomic analysis
Taxonomic list comments:Duric states that "The composition of the [herpeto-]fauna from [Sibnica 1, 2 and 4] is taxonomically pretty similar.", but does not specify where each taxon in their list comes from. Therefore all taxa they mention are included in all three collections until new literature says otherwise.
