Lithology and environment
Lithology description: 'red clay'
Geology comments: 'A 20-30cm wide, vertical tectonical cleft, easily discernible on the wall of the quarry because of its red clay filling, was found on the northern wall of the quarry, about 15m west of the cleft comprising locality no. 1. The first cleft was found to be barren, but in 1972 we came across a small patch, very rich in bones..'
