Stratigraphy
Formation:Colville Sandstone
Stratigraphic resolution:bed
Stratigraphy comments: STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From Colville Sandstone, which unconformably overlies the Wilkinson Range beds, Ilma neds, and Precambrian metamorphoc rocks in places The Colville Sandstone grades laterally into the Nullabor Limestone, and is overlain by quaternary deposits. THICKNESS: 61 ft thick at type section, and as much as 110 ft at its thickest. AGE: Early Miocene according to Beu and Darragh (2001). Batesfordian-Balcombian according to Lowry (1970). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From base of the exposure.
