Stratigraphy comments: LITHOSTRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONSHIPS: From the Dur Bu Hashish Fm, which overlies the Umm ad Dahiy Fm (Rupelian) and is unconformably overlain by the Al Khums Fm. AGE: Late Oligocene, on the basis of microfossil and macrofossil biostratigraphy. THICKNESS: averages 40 m across its range.
