Stratigraphy comments: Upper layer of Austin Chalk. W. B. Clark thought it came from the Washita group (Lower Cretaceous). Nothing like it has been found in the Washita, but several specimens that apparently represent this species came from the Austin chalk and the Anacacho limestone. Early Campanian age based on well-dated specimens elsewhere. |
