Stratigraphy
Stratigraphy comments: Horizon 17 within the Serripes Zone of the Tjornes Sequence in Bardarson's Horizons.
Lithology and environment
Primary lithology: sandstone
Environment:shallow subtidal indet.
Geology comments: Deposits probably formed in very shallow water. They are most likely intertidal swash zone deposits or subtidal channel deposits.

Modes of preservation:body
Collection methods and comments
Collection methods:bulk
Rock censused:1 kg
Reason for describing collection:paleoecologic analysis
Collection method comments: Samples of 2-3kg were taken in Baroarson's horizons. Quantitative mollusc analyses were carried out on about 1kg of each sample by picking apart the material.
