Environment/lithology: coastal; unlithified sandstone and unlithified, silty, sandy, conglomeratic conglomerate

• warm water fauna suggests that deposition took place during an interglacial stage
• more than five feet of fossiliferous sand overlain by five to seven feet of silt, sand, gravel, and what is apparently Montauk Till

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils, microfossils

Preservation: original aragonite, original calcite
