Environment/lithology: offshore; lithified, shelly/skeletal, conglomeratic sandstone

• deposited offshore below normal storm wave base and maximum storm wave base
• very fine grained sandstone that contains scattered lenses of fossiliferous conglomeratic sandstone. The conglomeratic clasts are well rounded, up to 10cm in length, and consist of a dark porphyritic igneous rock. Fossils are most common in the upper parts of the lenses and locally form coquinas.
