Where: Alachua County, Florida (29.7° N, 82.6° W)

When: Rancholabrean mammal zone, Late/Upper Pleistocene (0.1 - 0.0 Ma)

Environment/lithology: fissure fill; poorly lithified, brown sandstone and unlithified, yellow, sandy claystone

• mesic forest according to Auffenberg (1963)
• bed of yellow sandy clay overlies the dark brown somewhat consolidated sand; the latter produced most of the fossils

Preservation: original phosphate

Collected by W. Auffenberg and P. Drummond in 1954-1957; reposited in the FLMNH
