Gracianella sublepida Community, Early Pridolian, N. Urals (Silurian of Russian Federation)

Where: Russian Federation (61.0° N, 60.0° E: paleocoordinates 4.1° N, 7.7° E)

• coordinate based on political unit

• local area-level geographic resolution

When: Pridoli (423.0 - 419.2 Ma)

• Bobrovka Regional Stage.

Environment/lithology: marine; shelly/skeletal, gray limestone

• "Bed overlies dark, bedded Lst, interbedded w/ shale and sst, that contains abundant Atrypoidea camelina scheii. Bed underlies thin-bedded, dark gray Lst, interbedded with calcareous shale, that contains a very poor fauna, mainly gastropods. Gracianella specimens mostly articulated. Relatively quiet water environment in BA 2-3 region, particularly as suggested by close association with the Atrypoidea Community."
• "Occurs as dense accumulations, coquinas of the nominative species in dark gray limestone beds, having a thickness of 1.5 to 2.0 m, in the Bobrovka Regional Stage."
