Where: Libya (26.0° N, 10.5° E)

• Paleocoordinates: 50.4° S, 5.2° E (Wright 2013)

• coordinate based on political unit

• local area-level geographic resolution

When: Talagrouna Formation, Late/Upper Frasnian (375.2 - 372.1 Ma)

• Formation rests unconformably on Lower Silurian rocks. Dated as Late Frasnian on basis of tentaculites.

• formation-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: marine; ferruginous sandstone

• Many complete, articulated valves; assemblage interpreted as BA 2, shallow subtidal, normal current activity.
• Formation: "a 20-25 m thick sequence of siltstones interbedded with quartzose sandstones"; this sample: "fine sandstone with ferruginous matrix"

Collection methods: Emphasis of monograph is brachiopods and bivalves. Other elements sometimes mentioned as well.
