When: Middle Pleistocene (0.8 - 0.1 Ma)
• Level F in in the middle of the sequence (site goes level Jb). Dated to earliest Middle Pleistocene (overlies the Brunhes/Matuyama boundary). Early Cromerian (zones 1-2), Late Biharian, similar to West Runton upper freshwater bed, Sussenborn, etc.
Environment/lithology: loess
Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils
Collection methods: cold, glacial conditions indicated by both Dicrostonyx and by the mollusca. Water was also nearby.
