When: Vallesian (11.6 - 8.7 Ma)

• Miocene, MN9-10. There are 5 levels with fossil remains, level X is the highest in the section (approximately 100m above level Y3).

Environment/lithology: alluvial fan

• A pond system with a little alluvial fan in which most of the bones have been found.
• The majority of nivel Y (Y0-2) fall within levels 3 and 4. Level 3: 'Conglomerado de cantos de caliza y huesos muy dispersos en la matriz. Cierta tendencia al tendido horizontal en los huesos, aunque, en conjunto, l estratificacion presenta un caracter masivo. La matriz arcillosa de color verde grisaceo. Estructura masiva. Los huesos largos muy rotos, con predominio de los de eje mayor horizontal. Potencia 40centimetros. Observable por todo el corte. Level 4: ' Arenas de cuarzo con cemento calcareo que pasan a techo a caliza porosa blanquecina con gasteropodo. A techo, este nival se encuentra erosionado y ligeramente carstificado. Potencia irregular 10-30 centrimetros.' P. 348.
