Where: Northwest Territories, Canada (68.0° N, 135.5° W: paleocoordinates 67.4° N, 65.2° W)

• coordinate stated in text

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Lower Member (Lower Shale-Siltstone Formation), Tithonian (152.1 - 145.0 Ma)

• 27 ft thick shale, 123.5-134.5 ft above the base of the section; assigned to the Aucella fischeri-Aucella trigonalis biozone; classified as "Lower Mbr" of the "lower shale-siltstone division" in Jeletzky (1958); Jeletzky (1958) assigns this unit an upper Tithonian age.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: marine; poorly lithified, gray shale and lithified, fine-grained, sandy siltstone

• No environmental data reported.
• Shale, light to dark grey, fissile, flaky weathering, interbedded with layers of similar but harder siltstone and very silty, fine-grained sandstone.
