Also known as N162/f810; V657

Where: New Zealand (41.1° S, 175.9° E: paleocoordinates 75.1° S, 163.9° E)

• coordinate based on unpublished field data

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Mangapokia Formation (Pahaoa Group), Motuan (103.3 - 99.5 Ma)

• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Mangapokia Fm, which is unconformably overlain by the Gentle Annie and Springill Fm (Albian) of the Mangapururpuru Gp. The Taipo and Stronvar Mbrs interfinger with the Mangapokia Fm. AGE: Motuan (=Albian), on the basis of macrofossil biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From bed of unknown position within formation.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: basinal (); lithified, coarse-grained sandstone

• ENVIRONMENT: Accumulated by deep-water turbidity currents, hence basinal marine siliciclastic paleoenvironment.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Very coarse-coarse sand. LITHIFICATION: Lithified, based on facies description.

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: cast, mold/impression, concretion
