• Locality is from the upper part of the highstand system tract of the Santa Maria Sequence 2, Santa Maria Supersequence of the Rosario do Sul Group, representing the lower part of the Caturrita Formation of Norian age (see Langer et al. 2007; Montefeltro et al. 2010). Fossils are from a stratigraphically higher level than Hyperodapedon sanjuanensis from the same locality
