Christensen (1986) recorded two belemnite assemblages from the area, i.e., an older one comprising Belemnellocamax mammillatus (Nilsson, 1826) and Belemnitella mucronata (Schlottheim, 1813), and a younger one with B. mucronata and Belemnitella aff. langei Jeletzky, 1948. Ammonites from the Kopinge district indicate an early late Campanian age (Kennedy and Christensen, 1997)."
