When: Merifons Member (Salagou Formation), Artinskian (290.1 - 279.3 Ma)
• Found just above the 500 marker beds, in the basal part of Merifrons Member. Upper part of Salagou Formation (Merifrons Member) is primarily Kungurian age but inferred to be Artinskian at its base, according to Michel et al. (2015), constrained by Artinskian radiometric ages in the underlying Octon Mb.
