Environment/lithology: estuary or bay; coarse-grained sandstone and amber

• Section A1 is of brackish to coastal marine origin. A1c has cross beddings that correspond to "a succession of channels".
• "the third horizon (A1c) consists in a hard and coarse sandstone with metric cross beddings... This horizon locally includes lignite and amber" - Neraudeau et al (2008)
