Where: Queensland, Australia (23.3° S, 148.5° E: paleocoordinates 58.5° S, 141.4° E)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Macmillan Formation, Wuchiapingian (259.9 - 254.2 Ma)
• Formation correlated with the Echinalosia ovalis zone, equivalent to mid-APP5 palynomorph zone, by Briggs (1998). The APP5 zone was constrained as mid-Wuchiapingian through Changhsingian age by U-Pb dating in Laurie et al. (2016). However, overlying units in the Fort Cooper Coal Measures yield latest Wuchiapingian U-Pb ages (Phillips et al., 2018), constraining the upper Blenheim Fm to Wuchiapingian.
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: marine; lithified siliciclastic sediments
Size class: macrofossils
Preservation: mold/impression
