Vostochno-Novikbozhskay borehole, depth 1254.3-1261.9 m (Permian to of Russian Federation)

Where: Vorkuta, Russian Federation (66.0° N, 56.9° E: paleocoordinates 39.9° N, 37.6° E)

• coordinate estimated from map

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Guadalupian to Guadalupian (273.0 - 247.2 Ma)

• Age given as early Late Permian (presumably of Russian timescale, meaning early Guadalupian). However, according to Deregnaucourt et al. (2023), the depth corresponds to the zonations T1cb1 or T1cb2 (V. Silantiev, pers. com. 2022). It can then be established that the corresponding strata belong to the Lower Triassic Charkabozh Formation (A. Felker, pers. com. 2022).

Environment/lithology: terrestrial; lithology not reported

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: mold/impression
