• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Chasra Fm, , which regionall overlies the Khari Nadi Fm (Late Oligocene). AGE: Burdigalian, on the basis of foraminiferal and macrofossil biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From a 20 m thick section of laminated siltstones, with intercalated sandstones and claystones.

Environment/lithology: coastal; poorly lithified, shelly/skeletal sandstone

• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Laminated siltstones with intercalated sandstones and claystones, some sandstones with ripple-scale cross-beds or leaf imprints. Two shell concentrations are intercalated. LITHIFICATION:
