Environment/lithology: lacustrine; lithified mudstone and siltstone

• Accoding to López-Arbarello et al. (2010) and references within, the Agua de la Zorra Formation represents at least four cycle of lacustrine sediments, which corresponds with a postrift phase of the sequences proposed for the area, and thus might be correlated with the upper part of the Cerro de las Cabras Formation.
• López-Arbarello et al. (2010) describe the lithology of the Agua de la Zorra Formation as silt- and mudstones with few intercalations of fine-grained sandstones.
