Environment/lithology: deep subtidal shelf; lithified limestone and lithified, calcareous shale

• Predominantly limestone, in well defined beds 2-10 cm thick, with interbeds to about 4 cm of silty calcareous shale. Limestones are brownish, and typically are finely micritic, but not uncommonly are finely sandy or coarsely micritic.
