Where: New South Wales, Australia (34.8° S, 150.8° E: paleocoordinates 70.1° S, 159.4° E)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Gerringong Formation, Wordian (268.8 - 265.1 Ma)
• Formerly Gerringong Volcanics. A sample 2 m below the top of the formation yielded a radiometric date of 263.51 Ma, within the basal Capitanian (Metcalf et al., 2015), but nearly all fossils come from the basal Westley Park Sandstone or Kiama Sandstone members. Therefore, a Wordian age is assigned.
