• Sample P90 approx. 430-440 m above base of the formation. Dong and Knoll 1996 included the bed in the lower part of the Bitiao Formation, but following revision of stratigraphic nomenclature (Peng & Robison, 2000), the Huaqiao, Chefu, and Bitiao formations have been grouped into a single unit, the Huaqiao Formation.
