• "Shasta Group" of Gabb. Early Albian age based on co-occurrence of ammonoid Diptychoceras laevis. In the Perrin Zone of the Horsetown Group, according to Anderson (1938), later placed in the Ono Formation by Murphy (1956).

Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, gray claystone

• Dense gray claystone. "Probably came from abundant gray concretions in the area" (Anderson, 1938).
