Where: Xinjiang, China (35.7° N, 77.1° E: paleocoordinates 22.1° S, 62.7° E)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Shaksgam Formation, Roadian to Roadian (272.3 - 264.3 Ma)
• No stratigraphic details given in primary reference, but most likely from member 1 of the Shaksgam Formation (sparse brachiopods are also present higher in the formation). Presence of fusulinids Monodiexodina, Minojapanella wutuensis, Parafusulina japonica, and Boultonia suggests an early Guadalupian age for those units.
• bed-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: open shallow subtidal; lithified limestone
Size class: macrofossils
