• The presence of ammonites, both Callihoplites auritus (J. Sowerby), Anahoplites splendens (J. Sowerby) and Schloenbachia varians (J. Sowerby) points to the age as being uppermost Albian, close to the junction with the Cenomanian

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
