• Derived from Gangamopteris beds, which lie below the Late Permian Zewan beds and above the late Early Permian Panjal Traps. From Risin member of Mamal Formation according to Kapoor et al. (1993).

Environment/lithology: terrestrial; lithology not reported

• Unclear whether it postdates rift-drift transition, but associated with rift-related volcanics
