Where: Crook County, Oregon (44.0° N, 119.7° W: paleocoordinates 18.4° N, 38.2° W)

• coordinate estimated from map

• local area-level geographic resolution

When: Coyote Butte Formation, Kungurian (279.3 - 272.3 Ma)

• Correlated on the basis of brachiopods to the "Leonard" or lower "Word" Formations (present-day Hess and Road Canyon Formations), indicating a Artinskian-Roadian age. Correlations with Russia suggest mid to late Artinskian age.
