• Actually Liassic, according to Troedsson (1951). Presumably from the lower Stanstorp Member, which is terrestrial.

Environment/lithology: terrestrial; lithified shale

• Paleosols, channels, and floodplain and deltaic deposits dominate the Bjuv Member. Höganäs basin, situated in the Sorgenfrei-Tornquist Zone, characterized by extensive block-faulting and several Triassic-Jurassic extensional episodes.
