• Quarry was a sandstone quarry, presumably mining the Yellow Sands (nonmarine Permian) immediately below the Ford Formation, implying that the specimen comes from the lowest part of the Ford Formation (Magnesian Limestone). Later field trip guidebooks indicate presence of Magnesian Limestone at quarry.
