Environment/lithology: marine; silty, calcareous sandstone and shelly/skeletal, calcareous, carbonaceous marl

• "Tereñes marl" described as "offshore shallow water" deposit.
• "the "Tereñes marl" is in the lower section a silt and chalk sandstone with dessication cracks and ripple marks, then becomes a bituminous, prominently ostracode-bearing, pelecypod shell chalk, lime chalk marl and marl." (German translated by M. Carrano)
