• Ref. 11073: "Eke Beds (15m): Near the east coast of Gotland the boundary between Hemse and Eke Beds is marked by a hard-ground-like discontinuity plane overlain by detritic limestones and small reefmounds with stromatolitic algal deposits. These are interrupted by small paleokarst cavities indicating deposition in extremely shallow water with episodic emersion phases. To the west the Eke beds are developed as a micritic limestone-marl alternation which differs from the underlying Hemse marls by its abundance of oncolites and oncolitic crusts around specimens of an otherwise normal marine benthic fauna..."
