• "...shallower water sedimentation (mainly cephalopod and smooth atrypid limestones) assigned by Horny to his Atrypoidea linguata Horizon, which elsewhere in the world is placed in BA 2...All shells of A. linguata are preserved as articulated specimens...Judging from nearly the same tpe of occurrence in Canada [refs.] we conclude that the Barrandian material represents a similar BA 2, quiet water, shallow subtidal environment, crowded into 'linguata' banks....The 'linguata' bank may be replaced by cephalopod limestone...The nautiloid shells...served as substrates...of several epibyssate bivalves..."
