Where: Nerchinsk, Russian Federation (50.8° N, 116.2° E: paleocoordinates 54.4° N, 114.9° E)

When: Turga Formation, Early/Lower Aptian (121.4 - 122.5 Ma)

• Correlative with the Zaza Formation and most likely with upper Yixian or lower Jiufotang Formation, therefore an Aptian (probably early Aptian) age.

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: lacustrine; lithified, tuffaceous, blue mudstone

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: mold/impression, adpression
