• Lower Eifelian; upper Cultrijugatus Beds, equivalent to the Hohenhof Formation of northern Sauerland.
Environment/lithology: reef, buildup or bioherm; green, yellow shale
•characteristics indicate a shallow marine depositional environment just above the storm wave base, with a supposed depth of 20m,within the photic zone.
•bafflestones, algal-bryozoan bindstones, and locally by pure bryozoan bindstones. Bryozoan bindstones are produced by encrusting cystoporates.
Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils, microfossils
Collection methods: All investigated material was collected in the quarry during excavating a new access to the Hülloch, a locally famous cave (Marks 2010).
