Where: Putumayo, Colombia (0.1° N, 74.7° W: paleocoordinates 2.0° S, 68.5° W)

When: Early/Lower Oligocene (33.9 - 28.4 Ma)

• This collection has been assigned to the ?Early Oligocene by Stirton (1953) but in Perez et al., 2018 they say: other localities (Fig. 1) with caviomorphs tentatively assigned to the Deseadan have been reported at low latitudes: Peneyita and Coyaima in Colombia (Stirton 1953; Hoffstetter 1971). However, the age of these sediments is uncertain.
