Where: Río Negro, Argentina (39.7° S, 66.7° W: paleocoordinates 42.6° S, 52.3° W)

• small collection-level geographic resolution
When: Allen Formation (Malargüe Group), Late/Upper Campanian to Late/Upper Campanian (83.5 - 66.0 Ma)
• The age of the Allen Formation may be late Campanian and it is conceivable that it may also represent the early Maastrichtian (Hugo and Leanza, 2001a,b), considering that the earliest foraminiferal records in the overlying Jagüel Formation are mid-Maastrichtian (Náñez and Concheyro, 1996).
