Environment/lithology: sand shoal; carbonate
• The Neocomian beds are described as supporting an enormous sand dune that travels the expanse of the beds, constituting a special system of plateaus, containing only fragments of fossils. The depositional environment is interperetted as a product of rain following the destruction of one part of the entire continent.
