• Material was derived from a limestone cave in Aurora de Tocantins, State of Tocantins in Northern Brazil. The study area is geologically poorly understood.

•The Gruta dos Moura is an epigenic, solutional, ramiform to network cave with some branchwork passages (sensu Palmer,1991) and great vertical and horizontal development. The entire length of the cave has not yet been completely mapped
